Abstract

In the family, the child develops an understanding of relationships, gaining emotional experience and the practice of interacting, cooperating, living together and engaging in different events. Family relationships provide a resource for development, psychological comfort and readiness for transformation. During the day, parents at work and children at school or kindergarten build up emotions, which result in certain speech structures and behavioral reactions manifested in family life at home: happy or unhappy, satisfied or disappointed. The uncertainty of social processes brings about an orientation towards finding a resource for the individual and family, and requires the use of fast and effective tools to maintain the stability of one’s psycho-emotional state. Usually, breathing and distraction by other objects are used for this purpose. In modern education practice, a large proportion of difficulties are associated with the inability of the family to function as a resource or a potential for the development of the child and the entire family system. As a rule, this is explained by the lack of skills related to interaction and cooperation, in particular between generations. This article presents the results of an empirical study of relationships in family groups. The sample for group practice was based on the results of studying family relationships using the modified René Gilles method. The practice group included families with diagnostic results diverging in terms of the ideas about family relationships of teenagers and their parents, as well as mothers of teenagers and their parents. The article describes the practice of family group work with intergenerational relationships, including three blocks: familiarization with the rules of the group work; translation of non-constructive emotions, thoughts and actions into constructive ways of interaction; analysis of the interaction system and its adjustment. An intermodal approach to the use of group practice voice and art techniques in working with relationships is presented. It is argued that resource therapy is effective in revealing the potential of the family based on the development of the emotional experience of each family member and the willingness to use their emotions and feelings to understand themselves and others, as well as for self-change.
