The article examines the influence of family environment on the development of psychological readiness of cadet corps students for professional self-determination (career planning) in the military sphere. The highlight the importance of studying the training of highly qualified and competent military personnel, and the importance of cultivating those professional and personal qualities of cadet corps students that underlie their development as members of the armed forces. We define psychological readiness for a conscious choice of career as a complex multi-level formation in the psyche of a teenager which depends on many parameters. The article lists eight main factors that underpin career choice. To scale career heights, each student must have a career plan: the skill of making such a plan is a relevant issue in the study of the life strategy of cadets. The article pays special attention to youth’s attitude to military service and to their responsible and gratuitous fulfillment of their sacred duty to Russia. The article specifies the features of training and education in military education institutions. The argue that relationships with loved ones are both a resource and a source of traumatic experience for a future serviceman. The study demonstrates that a psychological and pedagogical support program that includes work with parents significantly increases motivation, reduces anxiety and improves the academic performance of students of pre-university education institutions of Russia’s Ministry of Defense. Parents’ awareness of the pedagogical and psychological needs of their children, along with parents’ active participation in the educational process, strengthens trust in the family, which in turn contributes to students’ development of stable professional intentions and readiness to choose a military career. The data obtained stress the importance of systematic work with the family environment for the successful training of future officers and for the formation of their professional and personal qualities.Downloads
